Xsilva Systems Inc., maker of LightSpeed, a comprehensive suite of tools for retailers, is set to become the first company to present a Mac-based point-of-sale (POS) system at the National Retail Federation's annual convention and exhibition, taking place in New York City in January 2010. LightSpeed combines a POS for front-counter retail with back-office functions such as inventory management, purchasing, order processing and reporting. A key focus for Xsilva at the NRF exhibition will be LightSpeed 3.0, its major upcoming release that features a new point-of-sale user interface, new features for multistore retailers, and expanded support for the latest version of Xsilva's e-commerce solution, Web Store.
Web Store is an add-on to LightSpeed that provides retailers with a visually stunning e-commerce site that engages online shoppers with customizable templates. Visitors to a LightSpeed Web Store are greeted by rich product visuals and a clean design that delivers an elegant and stylish look and feel inspired by Apple's online store.
'We are looking forward to Xsilva's first appearance at NRF, a fact that reflects this company's ambition to build on our strong foothold in the Apple community, and to reach out to the broader retail market with LightSpeed 3.0,' said Dax Dasilva, founder and CEO of Xsilva Systems. 'In addition to meeting with retailers, we are also keen to speak with the channel partners that serve the industry and who may be interested to learn about how Xsilva can present exciting new revenue possibilities.'
